» Z-Cron :: Synchronizing system time with the atomic clock

For the time synchronization of computer over the Internet gives everybody some time servers can grasp it on this one. The PTB (physical technological Federal Institute) among others offers two time servers. For the automatic synchronization of the system time the Z-Cron Scheduler and others can query for these time servers on the Internet and can synchronize the Windows computer of its own when required exactly with the respective nuclear time seconds.

The Z-Cron program queries for the respective time server over port 37 by TCP/IP and sets the computer watch provided that necessary.

The time servers predefined in Z-Cron for the time synchronization, be able to also to change when required, in which you simply to create a text file with the name ntpserver.txt in the program directory of Z-Cron.

Note

You need access to a time server and you may not use any firewalls filter the TCP port 37 since the time comparison is carried out via this port. For the automatic time synchronization under Windows Vista™ Z-Cron must be configured as a system service!
