NTPTIME – Automatical Time Synchronisation

The Z-Cron command NTPTIME sets your computer's clock according to an online time source.

Z-Cron implements automatical time synchronisation over the internet with the Network Time Protocol (NTP). The program connects to the specified time server, retrieves the current time and sets the clock accordingly.

The system time is only changed if the value reported by the server is different from the current computer time and if the time server reports two valid timestamps during a 5-second interval.

NTP Time Synchronisation

Because the time synchronisation connects to the server via UDP port 37, there is a chance that the firewall of the operating system blocks this command. In this case, Z-Cron should be put on the firewall's whitelist.
